  • 02:00 - 08:00 : Damper setting-up at 450 GeV

Sunday 21st March 2010
  • Re-establish 450 GeV beams
  • Measure and correct the optics and beam parameters at 450 GeV - done
  • Ramped at 3.5 TeV with B2 only- lost B1 due to LBDS trigger.
  • 20:30 - 00:30 : Measure and correct the optics and beam parameters at 3.5 TeV.
  • 00:30 : Ramping down and access in pt 6 for LBDS
  • 02:00 - 08:00 : Damper setting-up at 450 GeV

Saturday 20th March 2010
  • Morning : Tunnel access (replacement of RCBYHS4.R2B2 PC  - investigation on current lead RQTL9.R3B1)
  • Until 14:00 / 15:00 : 450 GeV recovery
  • 15:00 - 21:00 Performed injection and beam dumping systems checks at 450 GeV
  • 21:00 - 23:00 3.5 TeV ramp : Arrived at 3.5 TeV. Corrected the orbit - RQTF tripped.
  • 23:00 - 07:00 : Ramp at 3.5 TeV and optics measurements at 3.5 TeV - 2 ramps were successfully done - Beams were lost shortly after the end of the two ramps (magnet trips and cryo temp. sensor)

  • 11:00 - 16:00 Damper commissioning
  • 16:00 - 17:00 Access in UA87 for intervention on QPS controller for RQTF/RQTD
  • 17:00 - 21:00 - re-establish beam conditions (incl. pre-cycle)
  • 21:00 - 22:00 RF adjustments (cogging)
  • 22:00 - 24:00 ramp to 3.5 TeV
  • 24:00 - 08:00 optics measurements at 3.5 TeV

Thu. 18th March 2010
  • S56 tests successfully completed to 6 kA - Tests done in all other sectors at 2 kA.
    Ramp done without beam to 3.5 TeV - LBDS checks performed.
    Re-established the nominal beam at 450 GeV
    Ramped 2 beams at 3.5 TeV, both beams at 100h lifetime
