Machine Protection

To ensure effective machine protection during the commissioning of the machine, and the accompany increase in intensity and energy, the critical systems will have to be boot strapped in a carefully coordinated fashion. The systems involved are:

• Beam dump
• Beam Loss Monitors and in particular their input into the Beam Interlock system.
• Collimators
• TDI during the injection process
• Beam Interlock system itself
