  • Morning: Stable beams chugging away nicely
  • 13:00 Dump beams. 103 pb-1 for ATLAS; 106 pb-1 for CMS;
    LHCb - 18.5 pb-1.
  • Access for QPS controller reset
  • 16:00 ready for beam
  • 18:44 Stable beams fill #2178, peak lumi 3.2e33

Sat 1st October

  • 00:23 Beam lost end of squeeze: We lost the RQTF.A45B2
  • 03:03 Second ramp of the night. During squeeze, UPS down in UJ56
  • Access
  • Afternoon: few problem recovering including further issues with UPS - access required
  • 17:30 Pilots in, some delay SPS side - RF problem
  • 22:00 Stable beams, initial luminosity 3.1e33 cm-2s-1

Fri 30rd September

  • 06:00 Operator dump fill #2171, int. lumi 75 pb-1.
  • 07:00 Start of 90 m optics set-up and data taking
  • 10:07 At flat top for 90 m optics, problem with TCTs IP5
  • 12:50 In collision, except IP5, dump beam to give access for collimator
  • 15:30 Collimator access finished
  • 17:11 Ramping
  • 19:00 Beams into collisions
  • 20:00 ALFA puts pots in on B1 and Totem on B2
  • 20:30 Beam dumped due to an inner limit on ALFA RP that had not been updated. B1 dumped. Dump B2 manually afterwards. Refill.
  • 22:00 Injecting again - go for optics measurements

  • 10:23 dump due to pc RCBCH6.R7B2. Int.Lumi 52 pb-1
  • Access for pc & ....
  • 17:07 Start abort gap cleaning tests
  • Problems with new release of Orbit Feedback (OFSU)
  • Postpone abort gap cleaning to next week, test of OFC

  • 02:45 Injecting again – injection not very clean
  • 05:09 Stable beams fill #2160, initial L = 3.0e33
  • 07:04 Beam dump, 4 circuits tripped in sector 56, likely SEU, int. L = 19 pb-1
  • 09:00 Access point 4 for frozen QPS MQ.21L4
  • Problems with PS and arming of BIS - LBDS
  • 14:45 Start test ramp for coupling correction during squeeze
