Report on PIC PLC issues (Markus Zerlauth)

Thursday 4th August

  •  8:44 Fill 2001 in stable beams
  • Fill lost around 11:30 - PIC PLC point 5
  • Various accesses in shadow of POPS deployment in PS
  • Struggled a bit with injection during the evening
  • Over night fill 2005 lost after 22 minutes stable beam to another PIC PLC lock-up in point 1

Wednesday 3rd August

  • 06:36 Beam lost - electrical glitch seen by FMCM Integrated 57.2 pb-1 (in Atlas) in 11h21m
  • Back in stable beams 2h7m later - fill 2000
  • 21.5 hours in stable beams
  • 90.78 pb-1 delivered to Atlas

Tuesday 2nd August

  • Fill # 1998 stable beams at 8:00; dumped by RF at 14:53 (37 pb-1)
  • Back in stable beams by 19:15 - fill 1999

Monday 1st August 

  • Cryo recovery in Pt8.
  • Fill # 1997: 2:47 hours in stable beams, ~17 pb-1 delivered luminosity to Atlas/CMS; dumped by cryo loss of communication (possible SEU).
