  • 02:49 Beam dump due to trip of RQF.A78 followed by trip of triplet L5 (current lead temperature gauge)
  • 06:00-11:30 Access for triplet temperature gauge repair (L5) and quench heater power supply replacement (sector 34)
  • 12:00 Prepare for Physics fill
  • 17:30 Stable beams!!!

  • 07:30 End of fill: dump due to FMCM triggers following EDF perturbation

Cryogenics status
Wednesday 31st March 2010
  • Problems with the setting-up at injection over night and in the first part of the morning.
  • 09:15 - Lost ramp because of a problem with the setting-up of the tune-feedback before starting the ramp
  • 14:30 - Lost beam at the end of the ramp: tune feedback active during chromaticity measurement
  • 21:05 - Finally stable beams
  • Luminosity scans done at all IPs

  • 01:10 - 03:00 Long fill with stable beam flag -
  • 03:00 : dump beams

  • 04:00 - 06:00 : Back to 450 GeV - colliding bunch pattern B1 (1, 17851) - B2 (1, 8911) - Perform all checks
  • 06:00 : Start the ramp to 3.5 TeV
  • 06:20 : Beams dumped : RQT12.R4.B1 tripped (PC)
  • 07:00 - 08:00 : Ramping down
  • 08:00 - 08:40 : Rolling back to 450 GeV and beam checks
  • 08:40 : Starting ramp
  • 08:50 : Lost sectors 81 and 12 - due to SPS QF-QD trip 
  •  08:50 - 11:15 : complete ramp (without beam) - Ramp down
  • 11:15 : Recover conditions at 450 GeV
  •  11:52 - 12:38 : Ramping
  • 13:22 : Declared stable beams at 3.5 TeV
  • 13:22 - 16:30 : Stable beams
  • 16:30 : Beam dumped by BETS. Energy tracking error on switch generator # K

Monday 29th March 2010
  • 09:00: Filing 450 GeV with colliding bunch pattern - DONE- All O.K.
  • 10:45 am: Ramp #1 to 3.5 TeV with non colliding bunch pattern - DONE.
  • 12:00 : Continue end of fill tests - simulation of asynchronous beam dump - DONE - Beam debunched - Losses as foreseen
  • 16:00 : Ramp #2 to 3.5 TeV: Test with stable beam flag off /on -  DONE -
  • 16:20 : Continue end of fill tests: Energy off set to verify containment of off-momentum losses in IR3 -  DONE
  • 16:45: Ramping down the magnets to 450 GeV, preparing for a short access in UA27 -
  • 18:00 - 20:00 : Access in UA27 - Bad connector found on the current lead RQX.R2 and fixed
  • 20:00 - 21:00 : Recovering from access and beams back at 450 GeV
  • 21:00 - 22:35 : Beam checks at 450 GeV
  • 22:35 - 23:25 : Ramping to 3.5 TeV - non colliding bunches
  • 23:25 - 01:10 : Preparing for stable beams
  • 01:10 - 02-30 : Fill with stable beam flag
