Concerning the formal responsibilities, we have discussed together in the group and agreed the following:
From ABT Brennan is responsible for the overall ABT systems commissioning. For detailed sub-responsibilities in the ABT/BTP section we have:
- Overall coordination and preparation: Brennan.
- Apertures and optics: Malika
- Transfer lines: Malika
- Transfer line and Injection optics matching: Malika
- Abort gap protection: Malika
- Beam dump kickers: Jan
- XPOC, IPOC and PM: Jan
- MKQA: Jan
- Settings and data management: Jan
- SPS extractions: Brennan
- LHC injections: Brennan
- Protection devices (SPS/TL/Inj/LBDS): Brennan
For the ABT people not in my section, the main responsibilities for commissioning coordination and operation are:
- Electronics & controls: Etienne
- Injection kickers: Mike Barnes
The OP, BI and ABP guys have their own responsibilties across the board for the ABT systems and others, and are important elements of our commissioning team; my present understanding of the most important with respect to ABT systems are:
- HW & SW interlocking, steering, optics, LSA stuff, orbit feedback: Jorg
- injection protection, IQC, optics, application SW, sequences, logging, FDs, ABT/OP interface: Verena
- BI everywhere: Lars
- LHC ring optics, LHC ring aperture model: Massimo
- screen matching: Elena B
