Hardware Commissioning - exit
- PIC tested all circuits
- QPS compatibility - swithc 0n swithc off tests
- To 20% nominal: power converter current loops, protection systesm, quench
recovery, ramping, polrarity checks,
- DCCT calibration of mains and inner triplets
- Tracking
- Theraml performance
- 24 hour reliablity run
Essentially as for full 7 TeV commissioning
Beam Instrumentation - should be able to pick all this up in shadow of installation
and hardware commissioining.
Magnets
- Need to be able to cycle main bends, quads, sextupoles to 20-30% of nominal
- Similarly insertion quads, seperation dipoles
- Correction circuits less than or equal to b3 - fully commissioned - including
all orbit correctors.
- Quench protection - natural quenches unlikely but could still quench with
beam, therefore all QPS/EE qualified as required.
- PIC - tested - all circuits
Machine protection
- BIS plus SBF
- LBDS connected to BIS
- User input: collimators, TCDQ, TDI, injection kickers, PIC, FCDM, experiments
- BEM
- Software interlocks
